Symptom Atlas
The short version: Symptom Atlas is a fully local app. Everything you log stays on your phone. Phrax Inc. has no servers that receive your data, no analytics tracking your behaviour, and no way to see what you enter. This is by design.
Phrax Inc. is an independent software developer based in Ontario, Canada. We develop and maintain Symptom Atlas, a personal symptom-tracking application for Android.

We collect nothing. Phrax Inc. does not collect, receive, process, or store any personal data, health data, or usage data from users of Symptom Atlas.
There are no analytics tools, crash reporters, advertising SDKs, or tracking libraries embedded in the App. No data is transmitted to Phrax Inc. or any third party during normal use of the App.
All symptom entries, severity ratings, and notes you log are stored in a SQLite database on your device. This database is private to the App and is not accessible to other apps or to Phrax Inc.
Settings such as your chosen theme, Bold Text preference, and Export default date range are stored using your device's local storage (AsyncStorage). These are not transmitted anywhere.
There is no cloud backup, sync, or account system. Your data exists only on the device where you entered it. If you switch devices or uninstall the App, your data does not transfer automatically.
The App requires Internet access as part of the underlying React Native framework. Phrax Inc. does not use this access to transmit any health data, symptom entries, or personal information.
Note on data loss: Because Phrax Inc. holds no copy of your data, we have no ability to restore it if your device is lost, damaged, or reset. We recommend keeping your own backups of any PDF exports you wish to preserve.
The App can generate PDF reports of your symptom history. These PDFs are created entirely on your device and shared through your device's native share sheet.
Phrax Inc. does not receive, intercept, or store exported PDF files. Once you share a PDF, it is subject to the privacy policies of whatever service you choose to share it with.
Symptom Atlas does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data services. The App uses the following open-source libraries, none of which collect user data:
The App is distributed through the Google Play Store. Google may collect certain device and usage data through the Play Store infrastructure in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. This data is collected by Google, not by Phrax Inc.
Symptom Atlas is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the App collects no data at all, no special risk applies — but if you are a parent or guardian with concerns, please contact us.
Because Phrax Inc. holds no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export, or delete on your behalf. All data control rests entirely with you through the App itself:
If you are a resident of Ontario or Canada and have questions about your privacy rights under PIPEDA or provincial privacy law, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy we will update the effective date at the top of this page and provide notice through the App or Play Store listing where reasonably practicable.
Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
